CHRISTIAN LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
We are committed to cultivating an authentically Christian learning environment where faith, learning, and creativity converge. Our mission is to empower students to discover their God-given potential, engage meaningfully with the world, and lead with integrity and compassion.
CHRIST-CENTERED
We seek to provide a Christ-centered education for students, whereby children are introduced to the love of Jesus and truth of God's Word each day (Deut. 6:7). It is the desire of our staff to not only teach these precious truths of God's Word to students at a young age but also to be a living example to the children in faith, love, word, deed, and conduct (1 Tim. 4:11-12). In response to these sacred truths, we endeavor to provide children ample opportunities to respond in worship of Our Creator, through art projects, Scripture memorization, and regular times of praise and singing together (Ps. 113:3).
HIGHLY QUALIFIED TEACHERS
Our founding teachers have over 100 combined years of teaching experience and extensive training and expertise in proven, alternative teaching methods such as Reggio Emilia (interactive, collaborative learning that is student-focused). That is just one of the reasons why this is such a unique opportunity.

UNIQUE EDUCATION
Canton Christian School offers an unconventional and deeply engaging approach to education, free from traditional desks and rigid schedules. Instead, learning flows naturally in open, inviting spaces where students gather on rugs and couches, around communal tables, or even in outdoor settings under the open sky. The environment is alive with creative energy: children brainstorm in small groups, sketch ideas on giant whiteboards, and experiment with hands-on projects. Guided by teachers who tailor instruction to each child’s interests and abilities, this type of “unschool” nurtures critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. Every day is an adventure, with opportunities to explore passions, tackle real-world challenges, and develop a love for learning that transcends the classroom walls.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
One Eternal God, Three Persons: God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 1:9-14, 17; 1 John 5:7)
- The Father: The all-wise, unchanging, perfect, and holy Creator of all things (Revelation 4:11).
- The Son: The world was made through Him & for Him (Colossians 1:16); our Great High Priest pleads before the Throne on our behalf (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:22-25).
- The Holy Spirit: Regenerates believers and empowers us to become more like Christ (Romans 8:1-2); intercedes for us in prayer (Romans 8:26-27).
The Bible: God’s primary source of revelation to us consists of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. His Word is infallible and inerrant (Psalm 18:30; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12-13, 6:18).
The Gospel: The good news that Jesus Christ died in the place of sinners and has redeemed by His blood those who believe on His name and repent of their sins (Mark 1:15; Romans 5:8). The truth that Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation (John 14:6).
Mankind: All are made in the image of God and, therefore, have incredible worth (Genesis 1:27). Creating two beings, male and female, God has a distinct purpose in revealing His attributes to the world through two unique sexes (Genesis 1:27). Marriage is between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:22-24; Ephesians 5:25). All humanity are sinners in need of the salvation God offers freely to those who accept Him as Savior (Romans 3:23).
The World: Created & sustained by the power of God’s word (Genesis 1; Hebrews 1:3). Like mankind, the world was created “good” but now suffers the effects of the Fall (Genesis 3). Under the influence of Satan, the prince of the power of this world, individuals are deceived and blinded to the light of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). Believers are called to live a life characterized by love for the lost (Matthew 5:43-45).

Creating lasting friendships with her students and parents is the best part of the job. She also loves to be creative in her teaching. You’ll often find her singing, dancing and with kids playing in her room, but they are learning the whole time, every step of the way. When not at school, Miss Erin enjoys helping with her church, doing Bible study, running, and creating memories with her family. She's most looking forward to our new school and the close relationships we will build together creating something new and exciting!
